This policy explains what La Sierra Mexican Food ("we", "us") collects when you order on this website, why, and the choices you have. This website is run for us by our online ordering provider.
What we collect
What you give us. Your name, phone number and email address; what you order and when you'll pick it up; any note you add; and whether you tick the box to receive offers.
Your card. You type your card details into fields provided by our payment processor, and they go straight to it. We never see or store your full card number.
When you tick the offers box, we also record when you ticked it, your IP address, and the exact wording you agreed to, so we can show how and when you agreed.
How you use this website. We record which steps of ordering you reach and any errors the website runs into, along with basic device information: your browser, device type and IP address. We may also record your visits to the ordering pages — taps, scrolling and page changes — to find what's confusing or broken. Anything you type is hidden in these recordings, and so are your name and note where the page shows them back to you. Card fields are never recorded.
On your device. Your cart, and your name, phone number and email, are saved in your browser on this device so your next order is filled in for you. They stay on your device, and we never look you up by your phone number. Clearing this website's data in your browser removes them.
Cookies. Our analytics provider uses a cookie and similar browser storage to tell visits apart, and our payment processor uses cookies to help prevent fraud. We don't use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To make your order, take payment, and have it ready for you
- To send your confirmation and order updates by email, and by text where we offer it
- To answer your questions and handle refunds
- To keep the records that tax and accounting law require
- To find and fix problems with ordering
- To send you offers, only if you ticked the box
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With companies that run this website for us: our online ordering provider, payment processor, email and text-message providers, hosting and database providers, and analytics and error-monitoring providers. They use it only to provide their services to us.
- With our other locations, if La Sierra Mexican Food has any, because they use one ordering system.
- When the law requires it, or to prevent fraud.
- With a new owner, if the restaurant's business is sold or transferred.
None of this includes your text-message consent. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and your text-message opt-in and consent are never shared with any third party.
Messages
Order updates are part of your order, and they are sent whether or not you ticked the offers box. Offers are sent only if you ticked it. To stop offers, reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any offer email, or contact us at (385) 456-5219.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax law requires; contact details are kept until you ask us to delete them. Session recordings are deleted automatically after a set period.
Deleting your details
Contact us at (385) 456-5219 and ask us to delete your contact details. We'll remove your name, phone number and email address from our records, including from your past orders. We keep the rest of each order — what was ordered, what was paid, and the tax — because tax law requires it. Our payment processor keeps its own records of card payments, as financial regulations require.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and your card details never pass through our systems. No website can be perfectly secure.
Children
This website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
